While preparing this article, I asked Chat GPT if AI tools will kill the UX/UI designer role. The shy and tolerant AI replied that this was not in their plans. It told me that while AI can automate some aspects of the design process, it cannot replace the creative thinking and problem-solving skills that human designers bring to the table. I was happy to hear I won't be fired soon. But what about all the new Figma plugins that cover a wide range of design skills, such as user flows, interviews, and creating personas? I decided to try more than 20 AI Figma plugins to figure out if they could replace the designer role or just help us. Frankly, most of them were awful. For instance, I couldn't find a really good image AI generator (even with a paid subscription) Some of them stole my heart. They could help you do your work faster and with better quality, most of them are free and easy to use. In this article, we will take a closer look at the Top 5 AI Figma Plugins 2023.

<p>Based on my research and testing, I have concluded that to use AI plugins effectively, one needs to have a good understanding of design. Although AI plugins can speed up your work, it is necessary to analyze, identify errors, and interpret the results. We can compare this with driving a Tesla. Although it has partial autopilot, one still needs a license to drive it.<br /><br />
Therefore, dear colleagues, there is no need to worry. While AI can automate some aspects of the design process, it cannot replace the creativity and human insight that designers bring to their work. The future of design is not about replacing human designers with machines, but about using AI to enhance and augment their skills and abilities.</p>
